I was delighted to read that Newton Faulkner, my favourite musician of the moment, is a Thundercats fan!  In a 60 Seconds interview with Metro, he was asked about his new album and this is what he said…

“The album is called Hand Built By Robots.  What is your favourite robot?”
“Optimus Prime.  I liked Transformers as a kid – that and Thundercats.  I liked Dino-Riders, too, but only one series was made and no one else remembers it.”

“Who would win in a fight between the Transformers and the Thundercats?”
“The Transformers would definitely destroy the Thundercats without too much trouble.  There are more of them and they’re about ten times the size.  The Thundercats only had little swords.”

I’m slightly disappointed in Newton’s lack of faith in the Thundercats though!  I know I’m biased but I reckon that the Thundercats would definitely kick the Transformers’ butts!

Larry Kenney, voice of Lion-O from the 80’s cartoon Thundercats, is 60 today.  Happy Birthday Larry!

I recently contacted Larry and asked him what his thoughts were on the news of Thundercats The Movie and if he had been (fingers crossed) offered his old role for the film.

Here’s what Larry replied:

“What is my reaction to the news of the movie?  Thundercats…..ho!
Would I like to portray Lion-O again?  Sword of Omens, come to my hand!”

What a legend!  Come on Warner Bros give Larry a call!
